Artist Networking Event with guest artist Mark Bleakley
Join Dance North’s Regional Artist Network for our biannual gathering, supporting freelance dance artists across the north of Scotland, Highlands, and Islands. In a field often marked by isolation, we cherish the chance to come together and recharge.
At the start of RISE, we invite you to connect with peers, old friends, and new faces alike. We’ll also welcome artists from the festival.
Mark Bleakley, a RISE artist (Keep the Fire Burning), will kick off the event with an introduction to his interdisciplinary practice, sparking group discussions and highlight some key themes of his work, opening the way for group discussion and reflection.
Mark will ask, “What ripples do you need in your pond, to create growth?”
Tea will be brewing, and delicious cake may make an appearance, nurturing our conversations.
