A designed image of three women sitting on an orange sofa, drinking coffee together. On either side of the sofa is a teal and orange armchair. To the right of the sofa is an end table with an orange mug on top of it. Behind the women is a grey wall with a wall display of suspended, interlinking circles and hearts, in orange, teal and yellow.

The MidLife Mingle

The MidLife Mingle is a monthly gathering for women navigating the midlife journey, particularly menopause. We’re creating a welcoming space where women can share their experiences, find support, and realise they’re not alone in this transformative phase of life. It’s a place to break the silence around menopause and connect with others who truly understand.

Each month, we meet in Lossiemouth and Forres, fostering a growing community of women who are embracing change together. The format is simple yet powerful: relaxed, judgement-free discussions over a comforting cuppa. Whether you’re peri or post-menopausal, your voice matters here.

The beauty of The MidLife Mingle lies in its open, informal nature. You can participate as much or as little as you’d like, steering the conversation towards topics that resonate with you. It’s a space to speak openly, listen actively, connect genuinely…and have some light-hearted fun!

But it’s not just about the discussions. It’s about the collective wisdom that emerges when women come together. Each MidLife Mingle is an opportunity to share advice, resources, and coping strategies – a beacon of support that extends beyond the café walls.

We’re also exploring ways to expand our community and embrace the invigorating power of nature. Our recent wild swimming event was a testament to the adventurous spirit of midlife women. Amidst the exhilaration of cold water and the warmth of camaraderie, we discovered a new facet of support and self-care.

At its core, The MidLife Mingle is about transforming menopause from a taboo into a conversation, from a phase to be endured to a journey to be embraced. It’s about finding strength in shared experiences and forging connections that last a lifetime.

So, whether you’re navigating menopause yourself or supporting someone who is, we invite you to join The MidLife Mingle. Come for the coffee, stay for the camaraderie, and be part of a community that’s changing the narrative around menopause, one conversation at a time.

We’re thrilled to bring The MidLife Mingle to RISE 2024 as a special one-off event, running alongside When the Bleeding Stops. This unique collaboration allows us to extend our warm, supportive atmosphere to the vibrant community of the festival.
