Artist Development

Artists and their work are at the centre of everything we do. We support the professional development of dance artists who live and work in our region and beyond in a number of ways:

Regional Artist Support (RAS) programme supports the development of dance artists through the provision of networking opportunities, training, the sharing of resources and the provision of opportunities for continued practice and the creation of new work. Sign up to the new network.

Arts in Moray (AIM) is supported as part of the Creative Scotland Culture Collective programme. Eight artist residencies are supported by partner organisations, Moray Arts Development Engagement (M:ADE), the Moray Way Association (MWA), Wildbird, and lead applicant Dance North Scotland collaborating as a new artistic collective.

We also facilitate residencies for visiting artists and choreographers such as Deborah Hay and Stephanie Maher to come and spend time in Findhorn, work in the studio and share their practice with the local arts community.

Dance North supports the Moray Culture Cafe network which is a meeting and networking space for people working in the arts in the Moray area.
